A POST FROM LAST YEAR... BE SURE TO STOP BY THE SHABBY NEST FOR MORE FRUGAL FRIDAY GOODNESS!
I was unpacking a box of very random things and came across the "fireworks" I made a couple years ago. They need a little fluffing but I figured if I waited to write this post I would never do it so forgive me...
They were super simple to make.
All you need is: Wooden Star, Wooden Spool, Wood Dowel, Styrofoam Ball, Tinsel Garland (the smaller width works best, if you can find it), Floral Pins or Wire
Using wood glue attach all of the wood pieces and paint white. Wrap the syrofoam ball with tinsel garland and secure into place with floral pins or make your own by shaping small pieces of wire into a "u" shape. Glue ball onto dowel using hot glue. It is as easy as that!
I think they are fun and I just love how they look as a backdrop behind my DEE FOUST STARS & STRIPES GIRL!
Best wishes,
Tammy

Your "fireworks" are darling! What a great centerpiece they would make too.
