This week's inspiration comes for the latest POTTERY BARN KIDS catalog that arrived today. I heart PB KIDS not only have I shopped their for years but their catalogs are magazines full of great ideas and inspiration. When I saw this page I was immediately drawn to the rosettes on this tree.
Most Christmas trees need one large scale "something". Usually it is a bow, flowers, a large ornament, or a continuous theme, I am over bows & flowers (even though I used poinsettias last year). Don't get me wrong both can be beautiful but I am looking for something different.
Simple accordian folded paper. LOVE it (& that star the glitter star garland). This week (time willing) I may play with this idea, maybe in silver....hmmm...
In other non-Christmas related news - next week I will be hosting TINSEL & COMPANY'S very first virtual Halloween Open House, giveaways, shopping & more. More details to come...
Did you find any HOLIDAY INSPIRATION this week?
It has been so much fun visiting all my new "CHRISTMAS" friends. THANKS for joining me each week!
Now it's your turn! What are you working on or thinking about? Each Friday join our DECK THE HALLS FRIDAY LINKY PARTY!
1. Share your pre-holiday goals, projects, great finds, collections, or gift ideas (doesn't need to have a Christmas theme), If you are a crafter or have any etsy store show off what you are working on
2. Create a new post or link back to a post from years past
3. Share a project you have been wanting to try (if it's not your original idea be sure to give gredit where credit is due)
4. Please link your post back to this one. If you would like grab the DECK THE HALLS image on my sidebar and added it to your sidebar or post (I will create an actual button one of these days...)
5. Be sure to add the link to your specific post and not your blog
and finally... INSPIRE & BE INSPIRED
Best wishes for a happy weekend,
Tammy
Hi Tammy. I loved the ideas in this post. I wish we had PB over here. They would make a massive profit if they opened in Australia!
ReplyDeleteI have linked up the post I did on decorations at the mall. Thanks so much for having me.
Best wishes,
Natasha.
I love the star garland in that photo! I wonder if those are folded paper too?
ReplyDeleteI think you are right that every tree should have a large scale repetitive item that really draws you in and highlights the various other collections or notions. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteThose paper rosettes are so beautiful. Yes, your right, every tree needs large anchor ornaments. These would be great!
Maureen
I saw those and loved them too! Are you going to try to make them then show us how??
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
