BUNNY CRAFT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Made by 3 year olds
The other day I was DESPERATE for something for the little ones to do and I came up with a quick use-what-you-have-on-hand project.  Styrofoam balls and eggs, pipe cleaners, ribbons, assorted flowers, and fuzzy chicks (their little feet stick right into the styrofoam), tooth picks, and craft glue.  I told them what we were going to do and started making a sample and the next thing I knew they were putting their bunnies together all by themselves.  I helped with the glue and ribbon the rest they did on their own.  A trip to the craft store is in order to search for a face, but I just couldn't wait to share their little creations!!! My bunny (not shown above) will be getting a crepe paper dress and some glitter. I am so proud of them, not bad for 3 year olds! They were so proud of their bunnies and played with them all afternoon, yeah for me!

UPDATE:
Everyone went to bed early and I got to thinking about dressing my little bunny.

Not sure about the face, I used some Swarovski
crystals I had on hand.

Dress is pleated crepe paper with velvet ribbon,
buttons on front and back are stick pins.
I ended up covering the styrofoam egg with
white crepe paper
to create a shirt and panties.

Tip: If you compress your styrofoam balls
they look a bit less "styrofoamy".

And while I was at it I thought I would join the fun over at THE SHABBY NEST for FRUGAL FRIDAY.  Afterall it doesn't get more frugal than pipecleaners, styrofoam, and crepe paper that you already have on hand!

Thanks for stopping by!

Best wishes,
Tammy
