A NEW KITCHEN!

What started as BIG pieces of MDF cut into what felt like a hundred pieces...

became this...

then painted inside and out...at least four coats!

and finally...

a french door / freezer on the bottom fridge
a bakers rack (microwave to go on shelf later),
double oven and cooktop complete with grill
(can be used from both sides if pulled away from the wall)
and a sink (window will be added later)

This kitchen project was one of the reasons I was MIA over the holidays.  While visiting over Christmas my dad designed and built this from scratch.  It was a major undertaking! In the end it was worth all of the hours we spent planning, building, and painting.  The kids love it, my dad and I had some great quality time together and it is better built than any other play kitchen I have ever seen!  We still have some little details to add but I am THRILLED at how it turned out!

Oh my gosh! That is so cute! I had one very similar when I was a kid...except for the uber cool freezer on the bottom! My Dad built it for me. What a great thing to have, you are so lucky! There are going to be so many great memories made with that around! ~mary~

This is absolutely incredible!! Kudos to your dad...(and you). This will be a treasure that the kiddos will talk about into their adulthood. I LOVE the color. You can be so proud of this.
Also, the decorated valentines below are just darling!!! Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE that! So cute. And even sweeter that it was hand made. I'm sure they will enjoy it for YEARS to come.

What a sweet little kitchen. And even better your dad helped you build it. My dad built a darling playhouse last summer for my 3 year olds birthday, light yellow with a front porch............Dad's are the best. We are lucky ladies
