Hello everyone! In celebration of Independence Day I have put together a 4th of July Decorating Package to help one lucky winner celebrate.

The winner will receive:

VINTAGE STARS & STRIPES PILLOW by Bruce Elsass for Bethany Lowe Designs. A great size 15" x 24" pillow that would be perfect on a bench on your porch or on your sofa. Fabric is inspired by Civil War era bunting.

AMERICANA SPARKLERS by Bethany Lowe Designs. Oh, how I LOVE these. Perfect to stick into planters, decorate a buffet, give as favors...

STAR GARLAND by Dee Foust for Bethany Lowe Designs. A smallish banner perfect for adorning a door or window, mine is hanging on a basket. I even considered cutting it up to make ornaments for my feather tree!

MERCURY GLASS CLIP BIRD ORNAMENT by Ragon House. Wonderful for tucking into an arrangement, clip on a curtain, tuck into a birds nest, I could go on...

All you have to do is leave a comment at this post before 11:00 pm est Saturday, June 27th. Want a second chance at winning, mention this giveaway on your blog and come back and leave a second post with a link to your blog.

TA DA!!!

My wonderful, patient, (mathmatically gifted) husband finished my plate wall for me because I stubbed my toe and could barely walk. Thank you, honey! I still want to add at least four more around the center but I ran out of hangers. I am loving the white against the walls (Valspar - Mermaid). The color is fantastic I looked at so many aqua's and this one I think is perfect!

I will show you more of the dining room and the rest of the house soon. My camera charger has been missing since the move and I am able to get a picture or two each day on the little juice it has left.

Lots going on at Tinsel & Company! A giveaway is planned for this week, a sale is going on in my eBay store, and I am in the process of listing some great pieces that have been out of stock for a while.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Best wishes,
Tammy

PROCRASTINATION...

I should be hanging the rest of my plates but I am not looking forward to hanging the other half, all that measuring and measuring, and measuring... I do much better measuring with my eyes but I don't want to put holes in my freshly painted wall...

Back to work...maybe.

Best wishes,
Tammy

HAPPY THINGS

Today I was working around the kitchen and saw my white display and thought I would share it with you. Do you have things around your house that everytime you look at it you feel happy? Well, this makes me happy. I also love the white on white on white...scheme I have going on in my new kitchen.

What in your home makes you happy?

Best wishes,
Tammy

JUST FOR FUN - TINSEL FIREWORKS

A POST FROM LAST YEAR... BE SURE TO STOP BY THE SHABBY NEST FOR MORE FRUGAL FRIDAY GOODNESS!

I was unpacking a box of very random things and came across the "fireworks" I made a couple years ago. They need a little fluffing but I figured if I waited to write this post I would never do it so forgive me...

They were super simple to make.

All you need is: Wooden Star, Wooden Spool, Wood Dowel, Styrofoam Ball, Tinsel Garland (the smaller width works best, if you can find it), Floral Pins or Wire

Using wood glue attach all of the wood pieces and paint white. Wrap the syrofoam ball with tinsel garland and secure into place with floral pins or make your own by shaping small pieces of wire into a "u" shape. Glue ball onto dowel using hot glue. It is as easy as that!

I think they are fun and I just love how they look as a backdrop behind my DEE FOUST STARS & STRIPES GIRL!

Best wishes,
Tammy
